Wildlife Removal Technician My First Wildlife Technician Job – The Gen Z Journal
Hey, you guys! Let me tell you about my exciting new job, and it involves ALL kinds of wildlife! Yes, you read that right - I'm a wildlife technician, and I'm loving it!
First Day Jitters
Now, I'm not going to lie - I was a little nervous on my first day, but who isn't, right? But as soon as I started meeting my team and learning what my job would entail, my nerves settled right down.
What Does a Wildlife Removal Technician Do?
In case you're wondering, a wildlife technician is responsible for the removal and relocation of wild animals that have found their way into urban and suburban areas. And believe me, there are all sorts of critters out there just waiting to get into your backyard!
Take this raccoon, for example - cute as can be, right? But these little guys can cause all sorts of damage to your property and even carry diseases that can be harmful to you and your family. That's where I come in!
Dealing with the Critters
Now, I'm not going to sugar-coat it - dealing with these critters can be a little hairy at times. But our team is trained to handle any animal in a safe and humane way. We work hard to make sure they're relocated to a place where they can live out their lives in peace.
Speaking of peace, I had a bit of a run-in with this noisy squirrel on my last job. Let me tell you, this little guy had some lungs on him! But with a little patience and a few well-placed snacks, I was able to get him safely into his new home.
The Perks of the Job
Aside from the satisfaction of helping animals and homeowners alike, being a wildlife technician has some pretty sweet perks. For one thing, I get to spend a lot of time outside in the fresh air. And you never know what kind of critters you're going to come across!
Case in point - check out this deer I had the pleasure of working with! It's not every day you get to handle a creature like this. And it's moments like these that remind me why I love my job.
A Job with Heart
At the end of the day, being a wildlife technician isn't just a job - it's a calling. It takes heart, compassion, and a love for all creatures great and small. And I wouldn't have it any other way.
So if you ever find yourself in need of a little critter control, don't hesitate to give us a call. We'll be there in a flash to help you and your wild neighbors live together in perfect harmony.
Until next time, keep your eyes peeled for those furry (or feathery) friends!
